LOBB VILLAGE

LOBB, is a village near Braunton, in Devon. It was recorded in the Doomsday Book. It is one of several hamlets that now make up the village of Braunton – the villages are LOBB, Saunton, Nethercot, Knoll, Winsham, Halsinger, Pipppercot, and Boode. Braunton is situated on the banks of a rivulet about 2 miles from the sea and the Taw estuary. Lobb is situated an the bottom of a hill, which is in keeping with the meaning of Lobb as “lump” or “small hill”. I am having difficulty finding any information about the village of LOBB. If anyone can help with with any information, or pictures, please contact me at info@lobbfamilytree.co.uk
