  Ruth Garland Hearn [scrapbook] (Mary Ehler Lobb , John James ) wasborn on 24 APR 1921 in Paterson, Passaic Co., New Jersey. She died on21 AUG 1999 in Greenville, Greenville Co., South Carolina and wasburied on 27 AUG 1999 in the Saratoga National Cemetery,Schuylerville, Saratoga Co., NY. Ruth served in the military in the U.S. Coast Guard (SPARS) during World War II in in the United States asa Recruiter. She graduated from Pompton Lakes High School in 1938 inPompton Lakes, Passaic Co., New Jersey. She was educated at PatersonCollege in Paterson, Passaic Co., New Jersey. She was cremated on 22AUG 1999 in South Carolina.
  
  Ruth won a high school prize for her writing and received a meritscholarship to Paterson College.
  
  Ruth married Garret Hazen [scrapbook] "Garry", son of Hermanus GarretHazen and Sadie Johanna Vriesema, on 01 NOV 1944 in New London, NewLondon Co., Connecticut. Garry was born on 23 APR 1919 in ProspectPark, New Jersey and was christened on 20 MAR 1921 in the ChristianReformed Church, Midland Park, Bergen Co., New Jersey. He died on 26OCT 1993 in Gloversville, Fulton Co., New York and was buried on 27AUG 1999 in the Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, SaratogaCo., New York. Garry graduated from Pompton Lakes High School in 1936in Pompton Lakes, Passaic Co., New Jersey. He served in the militaryand was drafted into the United States Army JUL 1941. He served in themilitary and joined the United States Army Air Force JUL 1942 in thePacific Theatre (New Guinea) as a Bombadier. He was discharged frommilitary service as a Captain in the United States Army Air Force on29 OCT 1945 on Fort Dix, New Jersey. He retired from NCR on 01 MAY1981 in Newark, Union Co., New Jersey. He was cremated in OCT 1993 inNew York.
